Hudson Valley Region of the Special Olympics Spring Games To Be Held at U.S. Military Academy at West Point

New York’s Special Olympics 2014 Hudson Valley Regional Spring Games will be held on Saturday, April 26, at U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Competitions will be held in Track & Field, Swimming, Power lifting and Adaptive Games.

West Point, NY- More than 1,500 athletes, cadets, volunteers and coaches will take part in the Hudson Valley Region Spring Games, traveling throughout the state to participate.

Recording artist Jenna Rose will be performing.

 

All events are free and open to the public:

8:30am-9:45am Athlete and volunteer registration

10:00am-10:45am Opening Ceremonies

11:00am-2:00pm Competitions

2:00pm-3:00pm Awards

 

Special Olympics is the largest amateur sports organization in the world.  With 51,809 athletes the Special Olympics New York is the largest chapter in North America and the 6th largest chapter in the world.  Special Olympics New York athletes train and compete year-round in 22 sports, the Young Athletes Program and the Motor Activities Training Program – at no cost to the athlete, their families or their caregivers.
