Pastor Saroya Byrd McKinney is Founder and Pastor of Gospel of Peace International Ministries where she has served as Pastor for the past ten years. She is Founder/ Executive Director of GOPI HOUSE; a Re-entry and transitional housing facility which provides holistic services of healing and restoration for individuals in crisis, specifically to those returning from the criminal justice system.

WISE is an organization that mentors, counsels, empowers, trains and supports women to attain spiritual excellence in all they do. They provide housing for women returning out of the criminal justice system and other social crisis as well as mentoring them behind prison walls until they reach their full potential. WISE is in the process of opening the WISE home, a transitional home for women located in Kernernersville, NC. Meet Up and Coming Designer WISE Ambassador Jana Ele S

Jana Ele is an up and coming designer that is greatly inspired by God.

PRLog – May 20, 2015 – NEW YORK — Jana Ele S was born July 23rd 1995. Her name means a gracious gift from God. She attended Good Shepherd Baptist Church for 17 years. She has been active in church ever since she could walk. Firstly by working as an angel on the usher board. She has been diligent in working with the youth choir, Junior Pastoral committee, greeters, and pastoral Banquet. Jana was always shy, but still willing to help whenever she was asked. She overcame her fears and open up her heart to God.

As a bright child, starting school she was skipped and awarded scholarships to attend Catholic elementary for four years in a row. In her 11th grade one of the top colleges in the U.S. Stanford University, wanted her to attend but she declined in efforts to further her knowledge of God. She graduated from Holy Trinity High School, where she has acted in numerous plays and musicals. She was also the director of hair and make up. Jana is also part of the International Thespian Honor Society. This art has afforded her opportunities to travel all over doing hair and makeup for birthdays, sweet sixteens, and more. Jana is a hard worker and always strives to be successful in the area of academics. Even when she tried to “slow down” the spirit of excellence, which she possesses, kept her working hard and achieving academic success.

Jana scored above average on many English exams and graduated high school with several college credits. Jana enrolled in Aveda Beauty school and graduated to obtain cosmetology license. She greatly believes in being well rounded in her field. Jana also attended bible school where she finished with honors and awards. Jana has also been chosen for many beauty pageants and modeling but she decided she’d rather be the designer than the model. At the tender age of 14, Jana gave her life to God and received his precious Holy Ghost. She also sang with a recording choir, The Crusade Ensemble, under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan Mack, where they minister both near and far. She has also been instrumental in the helping with the beginning of The City Of Oasis Church.

Jana Ele S demonstrates servitude. She aided in starting an organization called Inner City Kids were they volunteered at nursing homes, giving out food and clothing to needy, assisting younger children in need , even going to the criminal justice system to speak on their behalf. . She has also assisted with at risk teenage girls, from visiting their homes to counseling on the phone. Jana has a sincere desire to help all she can through the power of Jesus. She speaks with assurance that faith is the substance of things and the evidence of things not seen. Jana desires to one day open up a youth outreach counseling center.

After graduating from Aveda, Jana went on the College. She spent one year in community college because she wanted to stay close to home. Jana has always had a love for fashion ever since she was a young child. She designed her first dress at 16 and wore it for her sweet sixteen celebration. She also designed her high school prom dress. She is very business minded and knew would one day work for herself, little did she know how soon. At 19 years old she created two companies a non profit organization for entrepreneurs, Lady in Red Corp and her clothing line Jana Ele S. Currently, the Lord has favored Jana to be to accepted into various Universities in London, England and this upcoming September she will be going away for college to study fashion.

Jana is also an ambassador of WISE (Women in Spiritual Excellence) which is a ministry that mentors, counsels, empowers, trains, and supports women to attain spiritual excellence in all they do. They provide housing for women returning out of the criminal justice system and other social crisis as well as mentoring them behind prison walls until they reach their God given potential. They reach them by seminars, conferences and social media walking them through their journey to wholeness mentally, spiritually, emotionally and economically.

The title of her conference will be Demanding Your Destiny/Protecting Your Ministry. Her organization WISE will be hosting the Gospel Brunch at the Conference the same day.

Pastor Saroya Byrd McKinney is Founder and Pastor of Gospel of Peace International Ministries where she has served as Pastor for the past ten years. She has preached and taught extensively both nationally and internationally in Ghana West Africa, London England, Canada and throughout the United States. As Staff Chaplain at Nassau County Correctional Center, she teaches trains and ministers to over 2,000 men, women and youth the reconciliation of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit utilizing individual and group counseling methods.

She is a graduate of Lehman College from the school of Health Service Administration where she received a Bachelor’s degree magna cum laude with departmental honors and was inducted as life member to the Golden Key National Honor Society. Pastor Byrd continued her secular education at New York Law School where she majored in corporate law specializing in contract negotiation with a minor in entertainment and sports management. Some of her numerous certifications include domestic violence counseling, CISM training (critical incident stress management counseling) and Evangelism Explosion teacher trainer specializing in world evangelism where she trained leaders globally. She was awarded the 2009 “Pastors of Distinction” award receiving citations from various local, community and political officials including Mayor Wayne Hall – Mayor of Hempstead, New York, Govenor David A. Patterson – Govenor of New York State and Mayor Michael Bloomberg – Mayor of New York City, along with a host of other endorsements for her work in community activism and spiritual enrichment.

Pastor Byrd received her Pedagogical degree in Theology for teaching from the Mount Carmel Bible College where she taught Evangelism as a faculty member and was most recently awarded an honorary PhD for community service and inducted as Ambassador at Large to the United Nations. She is a graduate of New Greater Bethel Bible Institute where she is completing her Masters of theology degree and pursuing her doctoral degree in Pastoral Care Counseling. The Spiritual mother and mentor to many men & women of God, she believes that we receive power to be witnesses not only in the House of the Lord but throughout the world and the Kingdom of our God. Most grateful for salvation, she began ministering in song in gospel choirs where she became lead psalmist. She experienced the resurrection power and baptism of the Holy Spirit and today has a ministry of Prayer, Teaching, Leadership Development and Deliverance.

She is grateful for WISE (Women in Spiritual Excellence) where she serves as Founder/CEO and Chief Mentor providing mentoring, counseling and empowerment services to women nationally primarily to those returning from the criminal justice system and hosts an annual economic & empowerment conference, “Let Her Speak”.
