Edvin Ortega Hosting NYFW Kickoff Party at The DL Friday
PRLog – Sep. 3, 2014 – Come and Join actor Edvin Ortega as he hosts a fantastic kick off party for New York Fashion Week at The DL 95 Delancey (corner of Ludlow) September 5, at 9PM. Edvin has starred in the hit series, “Orange is the New Black”, “Blue Bloods” and the Upcoming feature comedy film “The Jersey Devil”.
About Edvin Ortega
Ortega was born in Havana, Cuba, where he spent his early childhood years before his family moved to Panama City, Panama. A few years later, his family packed up again and headed for America, settling in Yonkers, NY, where he would spend his formative years and eventually graduate from Westchester Community College and Mercy College. An accomplished host, DJ, singer and dancer, Ortega regularly hosts live events for Radio Disney and is know is those circles as “MC Vin”.
The highlights of his big screen career have included appearing alongside John Travolta on the movie the Taking of Pelham 123. Most recently you catch him on the hit TV show, The Following along side Kevin Bacon and the Netflix acclaimed series Orange is The New Black. Although he has done a wide range of work, he prefers roles where the characters get to fight back. He also adds “My characters are sincere, open and warm with a touch of sarcasm”. Here he draws his own personal comparison to Mark Wahlberg and Jay Hernandez.
